Facebook and Prayer

Good Morning Friends

It seems that this week while on Facebook, I received several friends request for prayers.  Prayers for them or for their loved ones.  Others had answered with “My prayers are with you,” “Prayers your way,” and such.  Then there were the praying hands symbols of prayer.  I thought about this for a while and decided I needed to Pray to see what all of this meant.   Did I just pop a praying hand on their page and move on, or say “Prayers are with you” and move on?   The thought came to me that I wasn’t really praying, after a quick moment of compassion, I was moving on.  Each of these requests were from friends with mixed religious affiliations also.

So I asked, how do I pray for these lovely friends that are publicly requesting Prayer to meet their needs.

The angel thought came to me was to Love them.  Not emotional love but the Divine Love.  To place them in the arms of Divine Love which is everywhere at all times.

I will acknowledge that they are the perfect child of God.  I will see them as created in God’s image and likeness, as the Scriptures teach us in Genesis 1.  I would also know that any other creation is not real but just a lie or a false claim about what man really is.  I will know that the Christ is here right now to heal and to comfort them.  Jesus gave us all a prayer we call The Lord’s Prayer.  We can all pray that Prayer, and when we get really quiet and calm and then Pray, we can hear the angels talking to us of healing and Love.  Jesus said, “thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” Matthew 6:6.

Now when I see these requests, I will stop and I will pray.  I will start with The Lord’s Prayer that prayer that answers all our needs, and if I am led to do so, I will continue to pray in the way I have been taught.

Now, what are you going to do when you get these requests?

Bless you All
